FAQs

I need to sponsor my family. What is the procedure?

Many immigrants who live in the United States want to “sponsor” their parents to come to the US. This would be either to visit their family or live permanently with their family.

The term “sponsor” usually means to bring to the US or “petition for green card”. Such immigrants often reach out to immigration lawyers in the US for guidance: They want to know how to sponsor their parents to come to the US for either purpose.

You must meet certain conditions if you want your parents to live in the US as green-card holders. USCIS says that to file a petition, you must be a US citizen and at least 21 years old. Green-card holders (permanent residents) may not petition to bring parents to live permanently in the US.

Immigration issues are very case specific and you should consult an attorney to determine eligibility.

Can you help me to close a house?

Yes, we can help you close on your house. There are five primary functions handled by a closing attorney during a real estate transaction. Title Examination, Title Insurance, Coordination, Review of Documents, Record title and Disburse funds. We can help you do all of these and make your closing as smooth as possible.

Got some issues with my property landlord...

We can handle issues that arise between a landlord and a tenant. Most landlord/tenant issues can be handled in a small claims setting, however we can appear in small claims for you or we can counsel you on how to handle your own claim. Let us know how we can help.

Do you fight for traffic tickets?

When contesting a traffic ticket, some drivers choose to represent themselves in court. Unfortunately, this may have devastating results. The driver may be disorganized about the version of events or may discuss insignificant details, harming his or her case.

You do not need a lawyer for a traffic ticket, but a traffic ticket lawyer will be able to argue and get a lower fine, which can make a huge difference in how much you pay for the ticket. A lawyer can also help to ensure you are advised of your options so your insurance rates may not rise and you may not need to attend traffic school.
